I tried several other kinds of credit card sized magnifiers but they all cracked within a week or two. The stiffer plastic just couldn’t hold up when placed in a billfold. The Bausch & Lomb version is extremely flexible so it bends, without breaking, when used in my billfold. The other versions had a round “spot” magnifier for extremely small print, which was nice, but I can live without that.

Bausch & Lomb Sight Savers Magna-Thin Magnifier 2200 2x Magnification
Extremely thin plastic and is flexible enough to carry in wallet but you need to use the provided sleeve to prevent scratching. The sleeve is about 0.4 inches (10 mm) longer and 0.3 inches (7 mm wider) than a credit card so may not fit in a credit card slot. It does need to be held about 2 inches (51 mm) away from the surface to produce the 2X magnification. Unlike most other similar devices does not have the raised, heavy edges which means that it is less obvious but more easily mistaken for a piece of plastic packaging.
