@USNERDOC Oh i knew that, i was just thinking that the foil might be the weak link in your bag, so if electrical tape worked, you could skip the foil/reinforcement needed to go with that,.. but im thinking that electrical tape wouldnt work anyways haha
@KLipneR - I don’t think you are understanding blocking RFID / RF signals. The tape is just a reinforcement for the foil or mylar which does the actual signal blocking.
do you think electrical tape would work? instead of using aluminum foil that tears easily you could just wrap it in electrical tape. idk if it blocks RFID tho
@KLipneR - the aluminum foil or aluminized mylar is the critical component. The duct tape is merely there to support and reinforce the aluminum foil. Hope that helps.
Do you think duct tape or electrical tape would work alone? if those work you could skip the aluminum foil. i imagine afer a lot of use the aluminum would start to tear inside.
That was very informative and creative!! Keep it up!
Doc-I noticed your ICE display on the cell phone screen. It would be great if you did a video explaining “In Case of Emergency” idea for cell phones for others on the Tube. (Sorry, I don’t have a vid camera.). Thanks for all your great videos!
Most excellent economic shield. I’ve had two friends that had ID theft when someone scanned their CC#’s. Great info! 5/5
Doc, you inspire confidence. Thanks.
@legaleagle101 - You have me figured out my friend! ;-)
Thanks for the many great videos Doc!
Just me, or did everyone keep waiting for him to vaccum seal it?
Absolutely awesome, learned a lot of new materials to use and love it when you provide study links.
A little more money love 4 you my friend!!
@389Lee You may want to check out xylene for an actual organic degreaser.
5 star
@mrmonkeyman50 For the purpose of degreasing a chip bag…actually it is. For other purposes it is as well.
Awesome DOC, I liked the Navy Corners on the folds. LOL. How much protection from EMP is there?
@USNERDOC The only boring people are the narcissists that put themselves at the center of their vids. You are not boring and I like to see you on camera. It’s clear you are highly intelligent (not just from your degrees) and have a lot of empathy. This makes you a rarity among the “usual suspects” of some of this community.
@satansmusic2009 The iPhone cases themselves are aluminum and plastic.
@389Lee Rubbing alcohol (isopropal) isn’t an effective degreaser. The ones that are will be found to be majorly carcinogenic.
@USNERDOC Strong magnetic fields should be kept away from the iPhone. They are also bad for the magnetic strip on your credit cards. I can’t tell from the smiley if you were serious or not, Doc, so I’m putting in my two cents as usual.
@USNERDOC I’d be careful with those magnets around my electronics.. :) Thanks for the cool vids, btw!
Another GREAT video Doc. Thanks for the useful info !! Keep the great videos coming.
There is no end to the versatility of duct tape.
