Gift Cards to Have Longer Expiration Periods Under New Credit Card Act Rules
The final provisions of the Credit Card Act of 2009 kicked in this week. The provisions extend the window in which you can use the gift cards that you give and/or get. They apply to store gift cards, gift certificates and general-use gift cards such as American Express gift cards.
