Though I do need things like this or reading glasses for close up things (getting older) these were not the reasons why I bought this product. My underwater video camcorder housing uses a flip out mirror/hood, and it’s hard to read the record/pause marker in the viewfinder, so you’re always wondering what mode you’re in and if you’re catching what you want. I wanted a full panel, credit card sized, higher power lens to mount inside the housing to enlarge the display screen. This works great. It is very thin and flexible, so it fits in a wallet and you don’t have to worry about breaking it. Since it does not have a light, 95% of the card is viewing area. It is crystal clear and at 3x magnification, it is at least 50% stronger than others on the market. Well worth the price.

It’s not easy to get this thing just the right distance between your eyes and the text you are trying to read, but once you do it works well. Great for those times when you don’t want to take your glasses with you to the restaurant, etc.
